Event Details
Join archaeologist Nigel Rudolph, with the Florida Public Archaeology Network, to learn about cemetery care and protection. During this mini-CRPT (Cemetery Resource Protection Training) we will explore cemeteries as vital historical and cultural resources. We will explore the laws that protect these sacred spaces as well as basic conservation of headstones and markers. This will be a brief but well-rounded presentation in viewing cemeteries not as spooky places to be avoided but as the outdoor museums that they are.
