Known for creative presentations, Mark uses humor, poetry, photographs, and personal experiences to describe how a children's author came to write a grippingly suspenseful series dealing with love, courage and heart-wrenching decisions in the Holocaust ghetto his parents were among the few to miraculously survive. The Devil's Bookkeepers is a call for tolerance for all people that will haunt you. How Mark 'tamed the monster' will inspire you to write your story.

Mark, born in Germany to Auschwitz survivors, loved teaching in Central Islip, Long Island, and was named Teacher of the Year by the New York State Reading Association. He also served as an adjunct professor of education for SUNY, Old Westbury and teacher trainer/ writer for Newday's Education Department. He has won numerous awards for his humorous children's mysteries, Welcome to Monstrovia; The Case of the Disastrous Dragon; The Case of the Crazy Chickenscratches, introducing law to children with fantasy cases. Founding president of Writers League, originator of The Central Florida Book & Author Expo, and 'Top Cat' and founder of Writers 4 Kids, he is known as the Energizer Rabbit and is now a Director of the Florida Writers Association, FWA's Youth program and conference Chairperson, and writes the monthly Writers Bug column for Village Neighbors magazine.
