Join Jo Ann Tufo, Historian and American History teacher for a “History of Halloween.” This virtual program is offered in a colorful Power Point and lively lecture format.  Jo Ann (aka “The Duchess of Doom”) specializes in American cultural practices and celebrations.  She will explore the cross cultural origins of the holiday and demonstrates how it has evolved into the month long extravaganza, featuring haunted houses, hayrides and so much more.  Jo Ann was also the director of a large “Haunted Mansion” Halloween event in Philadelphia for almost a decade.  She will share a few inside tricks of the trade.

This program will be broadcast in the library and via zoom to view from home.
